Witch Baby ☪

Dress from Nasty Gal, Mary Janes from etsy, pentagram necklace and tattoo choker from eBay, Spank! cherub ring, Nadia cross temporary tattoo.

Found the perfect witchy dress for spring/summer ☪ just in time for October/Halloween too. and I think this is my first outfit post featuring Champ (our precious kitty). He's my Salem and he's so lovely and spoiled rotten.

So biggest news of the week, I got my drivers license!!! (P1 license for those of you in Australia) so I can finally drive all by myself ~woah~. It's really liberating and now I can go wherever I want whenever I want (almost). I'm so glad I never have to take a practical driving test ever again, hallelujah!

What kind of bird are you?

Nadia t-shirt, vest from Candy in Shibuya, Sretsis unicorn skirt, spiked cap from Romwe, Kreepsville 666 eyeball ring, Tutuanna socks, Nike Air Force One sneakers, Spank! cherub ring, pentagram necklace, tattoo bracelet and tattoo choker from eBay, Barbie head pin self-made.

It's been waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long! But I've finally emerged from a few hellish weeks of school assessments and I'm now free (for a while). I've come to realise that when I'm not able to update my blog as I do every week, I feel like I'm not completely myself.

If you follow me on instagram you would have seen how I'm totally in love with this new badass spiked cap that arrived for me recently ♡ it's pretty damn heavy too! and the reflective part on the brim doubles nicely as a mirror. and the spikes double nicely as a weapon :-)

On Friday I saw Moonrise Kingdom (finally) and although it's still not one of my favourite Wes Anderson films, I found it really sweet, funny and VERY pretty. I'm also such a huge fan of Wes' use of typography, the opening and ending credits were really amazing! and on Monday I saw a movie called "Bait", which is about a group of people who find themselves trapped along with two great white sharks in a flooded supermarket after a tsunami hits.... ... .....  ......... ... yeah... Probably funniest movie I've seen this month though.
Have you guys seen any good films lately? Any recommendations for ones that are currently in cinemas? :-)

Tie Dead

Vintage Grateful Dead tie-dye t-shirt (gifted) from Kinji Harajuku, custom pleated skirt from Lawrara shop, Nadia clear PVC backpack (gifted), platform mary janes and choker from Etsy, socks from Sydney markets, Kreepsville 666 horror hair horns and eyeball ring, tattoo bracelet from eBay, tights from Sportsgirl, bone keyring by Opening Ceremony.

This whole post was pretty much just an excuse to show off my favourite new things at the moment. Firstly, these lovely platform mary janes and collar/choker I snagged on Etsy. Although I've known about it for years, I haven't really been into shopping on Etsy until the past few months? So much wasted time! I've found so many great things on there lately it's ridiculous. These mary janes are srs bsns though, most of the platform is a thick foam but they are SUPER heavy, its awesome, they could do some serious damage. And the heart lock collar has barely left my neck, and it takes a real key to unlock/remove it. The tie-dye t-shirt and backpack are gifts from my friend who visited Japan recently. How sick is the clear Nadia backpack?! I think what I love about clear backpacks is that there are lot of creative things you can do with 'styling' the items you put inside.

The past couple of weeks have also been DIY funtime. I've been really into dyeing lately and the different things you can do with coloured dyes, bleach etc. and researching the best techniques ever since I was sent a pair of Mink Pink Slashers for the Facebook competition going on. I have a wicked 90s-inspired customisation in the works. In fact I just pulled my shorts out of their black dye bath this morning (2nd shot at getting them the blackest I can) and it was a success! The next thing I want to dye are some old white shoelaces of mine pastel hues using food colouring. And I also want to give tye dyeing a shot for myself. And I also want to dye and/or bleach my American Apparel denim jacket... yeah. I think I'm obsessed.

Shrines

Cat print t-shirt by Nadia (Nadia Flores En El Corazon), vintage Levi's denim jacket from SPINN'S Harajuku, shorts by Yaponskii from Monomania, gun print tights by MAM AVANTGARDE, Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, Tutuanna socks, spiked collar by Monomania, skeleton hand hair clip, eyeball bow hair clip and eyeball ring by Kreepsville 666, glitter button, 'I Love You' pin and cherub ring by Spank!, vintage ACID pin, Allira Tee 'Laughter Applause' pins.

That ^ has got to be my record for longest outfit description. But it's my first outfit post since I got back! Because I'm finally done with school for now Lol.

What do you think of my tattoo? It's one of my temporary ones from Nadia, check out the full set below. They're so much fun! It's also a great way of experimenting with the whereabouts of a potential real tattoo.

Last Thursday I went to Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball! It was SO much fun, and we even got into the Monster Pit because we arrived 4 hours early to line up aw yeah. Having Gaga performing 360° around you is pretty freaking sick. It was also really spacious in the Monster Pit, so we could get super close and were free to move around the space. While this concert was brilliant, it was still not quite as spectacular and high-tech as the Monster Ball concert I attended back in 2010! Did any of you guys go to both concerts and feel the same way?

I was checking my previous blog posts and I realised I totally forgot to mention I also went to Nicki Minaj's concert for the Roman Reloaded tour a few days before I left for Japan! It was even better than I had hoped, the costumes were awesome and the atmosphere was great.

On Sunday I downloaded the new Purity Ring album 'Shrines' (!!!) which I was SO excited about. They're one of those rare groups where every single track they release is amazing. At the moment I'm really loving the feel of "Grandloves" (below). I really like how PR put two words from the lyrics together to form their own made-up words for the track titles, or just create totally new words all together. And I also love how they are always talking about little things, like little ribs and little legs, and body parts like cutting sternums and drilling holes into eyelids. For you PR listeners, which are your favourites from the album?
