Day in the Life | City Brunch

November 11, 2015
  • Pandan pancakes at Blaq Piq
  • Christmas decorations at the QVB
  • Amazing Peter Pan jewelry! I want it all ♡
Here's another series I'm introducing on my blog - day-in-the-life photo diaries and weekly review posts. I don't tend to create vlog style videos when I'm at home (in other words, not travelling) but I figured this would be a great alternative where I can share snippets of more interesting days in my life. Let me know what you think in the comments!

What Child is This

Outfit details: Custom dress, Senso loafers, Timeco necklace, thrifted beret, bow hair comb from Bloch, rings from eBay / Diva.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! This really is my favourite time of the year (´◡` ) My two favourite christmas albums have been playing on repeat: A Charlie Brown Christmas and Ultra Lounge Christmas Cocktails 2 (although I do tend to listen to them throughout the year???). We always have a real tree (luvin that sweet, sweet piney scent), our gingerbread scented candles are lit, and the house is drenched with fairy lights. Christmas Day was spent with my immediate family, we are pretty much the only people we know in Australia who don't do a christmas lunch, but rather a breakfast and dinner. I figure it comes from our European background, but it also gives you something to look forward to at the end of the day. The treat I look forward to the most is my grandma's signature recipe, jam tart! And christmas ham is the freakin bomb. The activities I look forward to the most would be giving gifts and reading the jokes inside christmas crackers. What are you guys' favourite holiday things?

On a completely different topic - I recently discovered that some of my images display differently to how I'd like them to when viewing my blog on Internet Explorer. In Explorer any two smaller images placed in a post appear as one below the other, rather than side-by-side, the latter how I intend for them to appear (and how they appear for me on Safari and Chrome). If you're part of the 11% of my readership using Internet Explorer I apologise for how messy the image layout for some of my posts must have looked all this time, I'm currently in the process of going through each old post and fixing this problem where it occurs.

I'm not sure if I'll be doing another post until the new year as I'll be working and then preparing to jet off to Hawaii at the end of next week, so excited! \o/ I'm aiming to have posts ready for scheduling during the time I'm away so I'll see how I go... In the meantime have a great new years! Talk to you soon~☆

Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour London
SO AMAZING... I could spend days here. I think Professor Umbridge's pink office and the Ministry of Magic were my favourite set pieces. The glass case of all the objects featuring graphic design used in the movies, like chocolate wrappers, newspapers, signs etc. was also pretty sick, as were the costumes, he animatronics, and pretty much everything?? Oh and the gift shop, expensive as anticipated, but I did pick up a chocolate frog or two. I took SO many pictures in this exhibition, so I only included a few of my absolute favourites.
Butterbeer ♥ It tasted like butterscotch cream soda. The "froth" was SUPER thick and tangy.

On our last day in London I finally met Joel! (The Hallowed Ground) So excited I got to meet him in person! Plus I was so thrilled I got to see Randa and Dodo again for a second time ♡ yay! I even got to meet Katie Eary (who Joel interns for) since Joel was meeting her for coffee that day. It was also really cool to see quieter parts of London further from the city centre that I've never really had the chance to see before.
I almost mastered Joel's signature pose (he's in the process of having it patented). Unfortunately my measly tongue just isn't long enough.
We went for Dim Sum later where Dodo met up with us (⌒▽⌒) everything was so good mmmmmm
And Joel let me try on his new oil slick Docs ( ノ ̄◡ ̄)ノ
Photo time~
When Randa hijacked my camera...
It was such an awesome time just hanging out in London for the day! Thank you to the gang for showing me around and taking me to cool places (and special thank you to Joel for coming all the way to my hotel to meet me and taking us to meet Katie sob) ah I miss all you guys so much T_T I hope we meet again really soon!

Leaving London - our airport hotel.
Hong Kong stopover hotel.
So this is my last travel post! I hope you guys have enjoyed them. Ah I really miss my trip a lot... But I have lots of good things coming up on here. As usual I will apologise for being a slacker with posting, I just finished my second week back at uni and I think I'm finally getting back into the swing of it. Btw I celebrated my birthday in February, I'll definitely have to show you guys some of the wonderful things I received. I hope you guys are all enjoying your uni/college/spring breaks etc. and are having a great year so far (can you believe it's already March?!). See you soon!

And time for the exciting part~ I got to hang out with the amazingly cool Randa, Emmie, Siqi, Emma and Dodo while I was in London ( ̄ヮ ̄) they showed me around a ton of awesome places mostly in East London. I know some of these places overlap because they are within another (if that makes sense??), but I was able to tick off KTZ, Primitive, Shorditch, Soho, Brick Lane and Bolshie (separate post coming on that one), and other notable stores/areas we visited include Year Zero, Lazy Oaf, Shop 172, Box Park, Sick... etc.

We got bulgogi, bibimbap and all that good stuff at Seoul Bakery

later Dodo joined us♡ and we even stopped at M&Ms world~
lastly we hung out at Trafalgar Square! and Randa took some touristy shots of me ~

That just about sums it up for the highlights of London (and emphasis on the "highlights" part, I culled a ton). Oh and in case you don't follow me on twitter, I am back home in Sydney now~ I really miss London a lot, I even miss the snow (it feels like a tropical sauna here srsly). I still have some photos from Sweden and round two of London to show you guys so please look forward to them! (You can also check out my insty for more photos I took along the way.)

P.S. another special thankies to my wonderful London gang for showing me around and for teaching me some new British slang words and phrases ♡ riskin it for the biscuit~
