Suzy Spoon's Vegetarian Butcher

The other week we checked out Suzy Spoon's Vegetarian Butcher in Newtown (Sydney), which is both a store and cafe. It has been on my list ever since I saw their amazing breakfast menu (and it's ALL DAY might I add!). I chose the waffles with maple syrup and banana, with a side of vanilla ice cream and a hash brown. My sister went for the hash brown breakfast, with avocado on turkish bread, hash browns, tomato and smokey rashers. All of the menu items are 100% vegan. The food was tasty and portions were generous, but I hope they can introduce a bigger variety of iced drink options on the menu soon, such as coffees, milkshakes, etc. I'm keen to head back soon to try out their tofu scramble and their burgers!

Day in the Life | City Brunch

November 11, 2015
  • Pandan pancakes at Blaq Piq
  • Christmas decorations at the QVB
  • Amazing Peter Pan jewelry! I want it all ♡
Here's another series I'm introducing on my blog - day-in-the-life photo diaries and weekly review posts. I don't tend to create vlog style videos when I'm at home (in other words, not travelling) but I figured this would be a great alternative where I can share snippets of more interesting days in my life. Let me know what you think in the comments!

Hello Kitty Diner Sydney

Last week I checked out the new Hello Kitty Diner located in The District at Chatswood Interchange, Sydney. Our order included the sweet potato fries, a pancake shake and a cinnamon waffle with apple pie ice cream and caramel sauce. For a quick review on the food, it is very average and not something we'd return for. The shake is basically a maple syrup flavoured thickshake, the waffle was too soft (almost undercooked) on the inside (although the apple pie ice cream was great - plus it's KITTY SHAPED!), however the sweet potato fries were easily the best item we ordered. Thick cut, well-seasoned and not at all dry like others we've tried. The best part was the super cute interiors! Very #aesthetic with the wallpaper and prints reminiscent of 80s and 90s graphic design. It's worth checking out this joint if you're a fan of themed cafes and want a cute photo for instagram.

Whenever I return from a trip, I find the first thing my friends and family ask to see photos of is the food. Which makes total sense... In fact I'm pretty sure I do the same. And the food was probably one of the best parts (if not THE best part) of my trip this time around, hence the overload of food pics above! And outfits of course, cos I got a lot of questions about the type of thing I wore in Tokyo (although 3 of the photos are of the same outfit cos they were all taken on the same day Lol). You can check out A LOT more of what I got up to in my recent trip to Tokyo in my vlogs of course, all 3 parts are linked below. Hope you enjoy!

Brandy Melville cropped turtleneck, American Apparel jeans, vintage belt, vintage Coach backpack, thrifted beret, Windsor Smith loafers, Giza necklace.

This is my anticipating autumn look… At this time of the year (especially after having recently shopped in another country's winter) I feel like I am so ready to crack out my new cooler-weather pieces yknow?? and I'm just like lookin at that weather app with Sydney reading 33 degrees celcius.

Had some exciting events the past couple of weeks, including my birthday. Thank you so much to everyone for sending me kind wishes :-) And I should definitely give my birthday dinner a mention. Basically every year I can choose a restaurant I'd like to visit, and this year (after wanting to go for literally 2 yrs) I finally went to Arras! Such an experience. One of the best parts was the petit fours, which were like a portable candy shop - you can spend as long as you like with the selection of tiny cakes and sweets and eat as much as you like (this is following 3 courses btw... I wish I was able to eat more of them!) Anyway I'll now leave you with my photos below as they will do it all much better justice than my descriptions. Hope you are all having a great February ( ´=ิ◞౪◟=ิ’)

(p.s. not sure if explaining the post title is necessary, but here's a clue: "What's with today, today?")

What Child is This

Outfit details: Custom dress, Senso loafers, Timeco necklace, thrifted beret, bow hair comb from Bloch, rings from eBay / Diva.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! This really is my favourite time of the year (´◡` ) My two favourite christmas albums have been playing on repeat: A Charlie Brown Christmas and Ultra Lounge Christmas Cocktails 2 (although I do tend to listen to them throughout the year???). We always have a real tree (luvin that sweet, sweet piney scent), our gingerbread scented candles are lit, and the house is drenched with fairy lights. Christmas Day was spent with my immediate family, we are pretty much the only people we know in Australia who don't do a christmas lunch, but rather a breakfast and dinner. I figure it comes from our European background, but it also gives you something to look forward to at the end of the day. The treat I look forward to the most is my grandma's signature recipe, jam tart! And christmas ham is the freakin bomb. The activities I look forward to the most would be giving gifts and reading the jokes inside christmas crackers. What are you guys' favourite holiday things?

On a completely different topic - I recently discovered that some of my images display differently to how I'd like them to when viewing my blog on Internet Explorer. In Explorer any two smaller images placed in a post appear as one below the other, rather than side-by-side, the latter how I intend for them to appear (and how they appear for me on Safari and Chrome). If you're part of the 11% of my readership using Internet Explorer I apologise for how messy the image layout for some of my posts must have looked all this time, I'm currently in the process of going through each old post and fixing this problem where it occurs.

I'm not sure if I'll be doing another post until the new year as I'll be working and then preparing to jet off to Hawaii at the end of next week, so excited! \o/ I'm aiming to have posts ready for scheduling during the time I'm away so I'll see how I go... In the meantime have a great new years! Talk to you soon~☆
