Tokyo Shopping Bits

As much as I wanted to do a full-on Tokyo haul for you guys, I really just didn't buy enough this time around! I bought mostly little bits and pieces, a few clothing items, accessories and gifts for friends and family. Above are just a few of the little things I picked up for myself that are still sitting in a corner of my room, not yet stored away. If you follow me on tumblr or twitter or pretty much anywhere I'm sure you know how much I love 90s/00s catalogue & magazine scans, as well as how much inspiration I get from early 2000s fashion, hence the perfectly appropriate nearly-vintage magazines from Brandon (thanks again if you're reading this!). And how gorgeous are those Yurie Sekiya stickers?! I was super sad I missed out on her exhibition, but those stickers are the cutest ever so I had to buy one of each set. They're glittery and slightly 3D too *heart eyes emoji*

All 3 parts of my Tokyo vlog are now live on my YouTube channel! But I just remembered I have a ton of photos as well, so perhaps a Tokyo photo post will be coming up next? And an outfit post for SURE. It's been wayyy too long, cos editing those vlogs has been so fun but super time consuming. As usual I hope you guys are doing great and I'll talk to you soon :-)

A bunch of the things I picked up in L.A. and London! I've gotta say, I've never bought so many beauty items on a trip before, but the variety available in LA/London is just so damn GOOD. ☆ Tamagotchi Time ☆

My wonderful little original 1997 Tamagotchi from eBay shipped direct from Japan ♥ It even gave with bonus original stickers *__* I haven't played with a tamagotchi since the 90s!

I played with him, fed him and gave him medicine if he was sick, we had great times together,

until I left him at home for two days

after the first day it grew a tentacle...

and on the second day I came home to this:
 

R.I.P. my first little tama baby, you lasted almost 6 days :'(

I vowed to become a better mother. My 2nd tama baby is going strong! So far I've never left her (she's a girl this time) at home and she's only been sick once. Wish me luck!

Obedear

Vintage navy Sailor Shirt from local markets, Rittenhouse shorts, Derby Millinery suspenders, custom pleated skirt from Lawrara Shop, Demonia creepers.

Since I leave for Tokyo, Japan in a about one week, I imagine this will be my last outfit post until then. Coincidentally in fitting with this, I've sort of unintentionally created my own variation of the seifuku (制服) / sailor uniform with this amazing authentic sailor shirt I picked up for $10 at some local markets. I haven't had this much thrifting luck in a long time! I even checked out where the shirt originated, and as embroidered on the right-hand sleeve it's from the U.S.S. Caron (check this and this out). I have about a million things to get done before I jet off next week, so crunch time has officially begun!

AA Polish Collection

Peacock, Malibu Green, Poppy, Mac Arthur Park, Trenchcoat, Butter, Dance, Palm Springs, Rouge, Office, L'Esprit, Factory Grey, Echo Park, Hassid, Smoke Dazzle.

My updated American Apparel Nail Polish collection! (But not all of them are my own, my mum picked up about 6 of those the other day, but what's hers is practically mine ¬ ‿ ¬) As I've said countless times before, AA is by far my favourite nail polish brand for the colour, the consistency and how it dries super fast. I'm really excited to try out Dance and Factory Grey!

Oh and guess what!! I got a new laptop! It's super cute and fits right in my pocket~
 

Loverdose

I'm already a fan of Diesel's fragrances as I find them to be incredibly modern. Loverdose initially reminded me a lot of Thierry Mugler's Alien, another fragrance I've wanted for a while now, but for me, Loverdose is a little more likeable and wearable. It even reminds me of Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb, my previous fragrance (well, nearing the end of the bottle) except less intense. and the bottle... as soon as I saw it I was attached because it looks like the jewel heart from Mumfie *:･ﾟ✧

Moleskine Planner

F i n a l l y. I have my brand new 2012 Moleskine planner in my hands. I spent forever (literally) running around visiting pretty much every Moleskine stockist in the city CBD and was completely unsuccessful... but I shouldn't have been surprised they were sold out mid January! But I ordered this last Friday afternoon and it arrived the following Monday morning *O* hooray! One of my resolutions is that I will USE my planner every day this year, rather than have months empty like in last year's >_<
