Remember this sweater I got for my birthday? It's finally cold enough to wear it! ヽ(´▽`)/ I wore it to uni and got only one comment on it, something along the lines of "You look so warm" -__-' most other people just stared and said nothing, which is definitely a good sign.

In other news, Lady Gaga is coming to Sydney (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) for an ~exclusive~ concert at Town Hall. I saw her at The Monster Ball concert 2010 and I'm d y i n g to be at this one. There are no ticket sales, you can only win them by 'channeling your inner monster' in this contest. I'm already planning my entry ﾟヮﾟcan you guess what I'm dressing as? Clue: it's from one of her 2011 music videos~

Disney Monday

I dressed super-preppy for school today. I'm getting into the habit of dressing as 'characters' of sorts every day ⌒‿⌒ The Mickey sweater is from... a Target store in the US ≧ロ≦ (I have no shame) and I've had it for about 4 years. I finally got my pill necklace I've wanted for ages because the store that sold it had a closing down sale and it was no longer ridiculously overpriced, hooray!

All my supplies (`･ω･´) Also, I've probably mentioned this already but AA nail polish is insanely good! I just wish it wasn't so overpriced in Australia. It's really hard to find pastel/pale colours that apply without streaks and AA polishes are lovely and smooth.

DIY Collar

This Camilla and Marc top is four years old, has stains and pilling and it no longer fits me ╯︵╰, I was going to toss it in a charity bin, but I adore the collar so much that I decided to save it.

Conveniently the button and loop is position in a way that allowed me to easily cut off the collar without damaging the function.

Easy!

22designstudio Concrete Ring

This 22designstudio Japanese ring was a birthday gift from my friend Ellen ♡ I thought I'd film opening it because it comes in such qt and bizarre packaging.

It's meant to chip and tarnish with wear to "capture the individuals character". Going to try and wear it every day and see what happens (＾∇＾)

I've shopped thrift stores before, but this is my first proper vintage addition to my wardrobe :-)

Canon 600D

Finally got a very belated birthday gift - my new baby and 2nd horcrux, a Canon 600D ヽ(´▽`)/



My package includes the 600D body, Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens, the new Tamron 18-270mm lens, filters for each lens, camera bag and a new pack of Polaroid film for my Instax which doesn't really have anything to do with it.





The flippy screen sits at all angles and is insanely useful for taking photos of yourself, especially for focusing.

In other news, I attended an Australia's Next Top Model runway show today through my university's connections. One thing I'll say about the experience is that dressing well really does pay off! My 3 friends and I were grabbed from the massive audience queue along with a few others to be in the priority seating right in front of the runway (and right in front of the cameras). We noticed they only chose people who were presented nicely. As there was limited seating, the rest of the queue unfortunately had to stand towards the back of the seating area, very far from the runway :-( hmm something to keep in mind. Sarah Murdoch did her chatter/introduce judges then we watched the top 30 girls walk in Alex Perry gowns. The stand out for me was probably Issy because she had amazing hair like Jeremy Scott FW11 - mostly hot pink with some bits of green and I think blue also?
